Graduated from an accredited Nursing Master's Program with a Family Nurse Practitioner or higher and a Psychiatric Nurse practice degree.. Experience Required: Minimum 3 years recent Wound Care Coordinator experience. WOCN, CWS, or WCC certification required. Act as primary consultant for wound care clinicians and facility staff; advocate for patients with physicians.. Provide ongoing education on wound care products and treatment protocols to hospital staff.. Assist with onboarding and training new wound care coordinators within the hospital division.
Playing an integral role in the identification of risk, quality, and infection control issues through ongoing, concurrent chart review and reporting.. Complying with hospital policies and procedures on safety, infection control, and performance improvement.. Utilizing thorough understanding of third party payer systems as they relate to utilization management and discharge planning.. EDUCATION: Diploma Program, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other health-related field.
