Acting as the Manager of the Main OR Surgical Department, you will work collaboratively with the unit's clinical resource leader and the OR Educator to complete the unit's management team, reporting to the Clinical Director of Perioperative Services.. The Main Operating Room Manager acts as a leader in the development of the unit staff and is responsible for the day-to-day operations.. Collaborates with the nurse educator to develop programs designed to assist the staff nurse in the progression of novice to expert in the practice of nursing. Previous management, Charge RN, or Nurse Educator experience required. In this role you serve as the primary skill trainer for nursing orientation, equipment in-services and fill in whenever an educator is needed in our nursing programs.. Additional responsibilities include planning, developing implementing, and evaluation educational programs and activities based on the assessed learning needs of the department staff in conjunction with the Director, Nurse Manager, Unit supervisors, and Clinical Nurse Specialist.. Education: Clinical Education Specialist: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.. Master's degree in Nursing (MN, MSN) or Master's of Education (M.Ed) also required; Nurse Educator: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.. Ability for public speaking and development/delivery of presentations required
