Work with hospital leadership and staff to assess current educational needs and develops a plan to satisfy those needs. Provide educational leadership to patients and care providers to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocol. Assist patient and caregivers with education needs, problem solution and health management across the continuum of care. Initiate clinical skills development programs for direct care staff. Provide specialized nursing protocols for direct care staff.

The Main Operating Room Manager acts as a leader in the development of the unit staff and is responsible for the day-to-day operations.. Collaborates with the nurse educator to develop programs designed to assist the staff nurse in the progression of novice to expert in the practice of nursing. Previous management, Charge RN, or Nurse Educator experience required.
