The School Nurse will work closely with students, families, teachers, and other support staff to provide high-quality healthcare services.. Collaborates closely with the campus principal, school counselor, teachers, parents, food service staff, and other staff to provide leadership and ensure a healthy school environment.. Attends Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) meetings of students with identified health needs, and develops the IHP;. Collaborates with district personnel, including school psychologist/special education diagnostician regarding implementation of health-related Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and services;. Supervises, trains, and evaluates LVNs, unlicensed diabetes care assistants, other unlicensed assistive personnel, or other school health personnel as designated by the campus principal to have responsibility for assisting students with health needs.
Substitute Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Completion of fingerprints through IdentoGo (fee incurred by applicant).. (e.g. toileting, feeding) as directed by the school nurse or certified teacher..
